Recipe: Lavender Lemonade
Ingredients:
•1-2 Tablespoons of Lavender Buds (put into an infuser or a muslin bag)
•1 cup of sugar (you can add more or less as you like)
•2 cups water
•2 cups of freshly squeezed lemon juice (this is about 2-4 lemons depending on their size. You can also add more if you like it more sour)
•2 cup cold water
Directions:
1. Bring two cups of water to a low boil on the stove. (This means there are bubbles in the water, but the water doesn’t look like a witch's cauldron)
2. Take the tea infuser with the lavender in it and add to the hot water. Let steep for 3-5 minutes. (This will be dependent on how strong you want the Lavender flavor to be)
3. Once steeped, remove the lavender and add the sugar. Let this cook until it is slightly thicker than water. This is a simple syrup.
4. Take the fresh squeezed lemon juice and add to the two cups of cold water. To this, add your simple syrup, and mix well.
5. Enjoy over some ice.
Notes: The lemonade can be storefront about a week in the fridge, but the simple syrup can last up to a month.
